TAED

Description

TAED is a bleach activator, allowing hydrogen peroxide to act as a bleaching agent in water at temperatures less than 60° C, and in less alkaline water.

Uses

Tetra acetyl ethylene diamine is used in many laundry products that contain oxygen bleaches such as Hydrogen peroxide, sodium carbonate peroxide, sodium peroxide, and borax.

Note the similarity to EDTA a common chelating and sequestering agent.
