sorry for the stupid question, but i've looked evrywhere and was wondering what the styrofoam cup in the vdg does..and could the vdg work without the styrofoam? Again sorry i'm new to this stuff =/ . thank you |

It insulates the can. Wood or dirty plastic and finger grease are all conductors at these voltages. |
