if gasoline is just refined diesel why cant we refine biodiesel into gasoline?
or has it been done and covered up by the oil companies?

Gasoline is a mix of hydrocarbons with between 5 and 10 carbons
in the chain. It is refined from crude oil, not from diesel oil.

Diesel oil has between 14 and 20 carbons in the chain. You can make
gasoline from diesel oil by catalytic cracking and re-distillation.

There is no cover-up of anything, this information is quite public
and freely available.

When something doesn't make sense to you, question your assumptions.

so it would be possible to make biogasoline?

ps

would it be cheaper than pumping crude oil out of the ground and making it into gas?

If it was cheaper, we wouldn't be refining crude oil.

Cheaper isn't the issue. Its the matter of control. Who has the money now (the oil companies) and who would have the money in a biogasoline enviornment.

I think we should pay someone to kill owners of oil companies and blow up all oil factorys on earth too save the planet.
I have heard that they killed some people who worked on clean and cheap energy

Wouldn't that create more global warming?
How do you travel? Do you use electricity produced from fossil fuels?
Do you eat food shipped using fossil fuels?

Maybe you are as much a part of the problem as the owners of the companies.

By the way, your parents are probably owners of oil companies.
Either that, or they are in the wrong retirement funds.

Given how wonderful the US occupation of Iraq has been for the environment
there, you might want to reconsider.

Not to mention that the problem of global warming is caused much more by
the burning of fossil fuels in the norther hemisphere than by any deforestation
in the southern hemisphere.

The deforestation is often done by burning (as it is 'easier' than by using heavy equipment to do the work). That burning releases tons (and I mean TONS) of CO2 in the atmosphere. Therefore, the deforestation not only produces greenhouse gases, it also reduces the rainforest's abilitity to reduce greenhouse gases.
