Hello everyone, I found this site that tells you how to make plastic: http://www.howtoadvice.com/Plastic It says to use 25 percent graphite and 75 percent sulphur. I know where to get the sulphur but I don't know where to get the graphite. If someone could tell me where to get the graphite, that would be great. |

Hey is graphite the same as charcoal??... maybe diamond..well they were all made from one common material, CARBON!! if carbon is arranged in a complicated formation, they form different materials with different properties!!this can been seen between the differences in hardness between a diamond and a pencil lead. |

Graphite is a particular crystalline form of carbon, as is diamond and buckminsterfullerine. Charcoal is an amorphous (non-crystalline) form of carbon, as is soot, coal, coke, and lampblack. |

The bottles of graphite lubricant are expensive for theyre volume. How do they make graphite industrially? Can I make it at home from charcoal? |

Graphite is mined. Pyrolytic graphite is manufactured, but much more expensive. If you search for "graphite lubricant powder" on Google, you can find ordinary graphite powder for $6 a pound. |
