Has anyone tried using the Field's metal as a replacement for solder? Does it work well? | ||

You can solder with it, but the parts would come apart at 144 Fahrenheit. Solders that melt at different temperatures are common in jewelry making. Parts are joined using high temperature solders, then low temperature solders are used to attach more parts to those already joined. However, it is not uncommon to encounter 144 degrees in a closed car in the summertime. You wouldn't want the parts falling apart in the car... |
