I made a film can cannon out of an M&M tube. I cut off the plastic strip attaching the lid and used two nailes a spark gap. I used isopril alchool in a spray can as the propellent. It makes a really loud bang due to the rapid combustion and subsequent expansion of the propellent. I also relized that by adding air through a tube in the cannon it explodes with greater force as a result of the added oxygen in the combustion. I also found a better way to ignite the fuel and air mixture, I used a 220 volt too 4 volt transformer which when I connect the 4 volt primary to 9 volts it gives me 495 volts in the secondary. The circut is simple, I conect a 9 volt battery to the primary via a switch. When I open the switch the electomagnetic field colapses and induces high voltage in the secondary. Thus bang in cannon.
