I don't know what the problem is but I built the transmitter and it won't
put out sound but I am sure that it is transmitting because there is a fuzzy noise on the radio when the transmitter is, off but when I turn it on there is a clear silent channel at 1000 on the am band but no music I turned my audio source up to maximum vol. and still no music just sicelence.I checked all connectoins many times and no problems.please help & thanks ahead of time.

Since you are getting what is called "quieting" on the receiver,
the oscillator is working properly. Your problem is therefore in
the modulation.

If the signal source is designed to drive an 8-ohm speaker, and is
loud enough, the connections in the web site should work. But if you
have a signal source that either is not loud enough, or can't drive
an 8-ohm load, you can reverse the transformer, which should improve
the modulation, at the expense of range.
