Hi,

I finally assembled the full 20-magnet gauss gun. However, after doing a test, I found that the velocity using 20 magnets as opposed to, say, 4, was literally the same. Obviously there has to be something wrong with the way I'm building it, but I can't think of anything...the spacing is close, there isn't a whole lot of friction, the magnets are taped securely... Currently the magnets are all attracted to each other, should I perhaps make it so each magnet in the series repulses the previous one?

Thanks

BTW... I am using 1/2" cube N40 magnets and 1/2" nickel-plated steel balls.

Thanks
