i have an ignitor that looks exactly like the one in the catalog with the one wire and the copper bottom, but i don't know how to connect another wire to it cleanly without soldering.

Since the spark can jump a quarter inch, you don't really even need
to have the wires touching the metal base. So don't worry about how
tight they are, and certainly don't bother soldering (which will melt
the plastic).
