on the 30 second motor is there anyway you could make the magnet and screw move faster? would a stronger battery work or what?

Yes, a 9 volt battery makes it go faster than a 1.5 volt battery.

I've been playing with the motor too, I found some useful tips.

-Get the motor going to a reasonable speed. Then, begin pressing harder on the magnet. Nice and easy does it, with practice, you can get it going VERY, VERY fast. I managed to get mine to show that 'reverse spin' effect using a 1.5 volter! (Where the thing spins fast enough that it seems to be going backwards when you look at it.)

-FRESH battery is good.

-If you can, get them 12volt batterys. WOn't last too long, but it sure goes fast!
