I went to the jameco website to get the oscillator for the radio transmitter, but it says that it is for 5 volts. Can I still use this for the transmitter which uses 9 volts? |

It will depend on the particular device, but most are CMOS devices that will work at higher voltages. Some I have tried won't work at 9 volts but work at 6 volts. I haven't damaged any by using 9 volts, but there is always a first time. The ones we carry in our catalog are guaranteed to work at 9 volts. |

Well that's probably why my first transmitter broke. I bought the same kind of oscillator from them. Well I guess I will probably buy one from you now! |

Just try it with 6 volts. Your oscillator is probably still OK. |
