Can I use a CD players earphone as a piezoelectric earphone .Is it the same or it isnt? Is it so sensetive as the piezoelectric one? |

The earphone has a plug on it. That fits into the jack in the CD player. Neither the plug nor the jack are sensitive to anything, they are just connectors. CD players generally use 16 ohm or 32 ohm headphones. Some may use 8 ohm headphones, but those are less common. The way we measure earphone sensitivity is in ohms. The more ohms, the more sensitive the earphone is. Piezoelectric earphones range from about 100,000 ohms to 10,000,000 ohms, and are more sensitive than a 32 ohm earphone by quite a bit. |
