Use a sealed piston with the pistons top external head conductive. This conductor runs down the middle of the rest of the plastic piston and is always in contact with the pistons gas down the center. Use a linear motor (insulated by a plastic rod) to pump the piston head in and out of its case. The head passes thru two containers of insulated water. The conductive head is in one water chamber when piston expanded and the other when compressed. Ideally the two water cha, mber should be in thermos flask ie the rod travels thru insulated caps.
The process can be reversed to generate electricity from hot and cold water.
This uses the piston head itself as the displacer, so only has one moving part compared to conventional Stirling free piston systems.
