Supplies: Ping-Pong Ball Knife Glue Piezo Pickup - Radio Shack Part #273-073A 1/4" Jack 10K Ohm Resistor Guitar Cord Amplifier Construction Details: 1.Cut a hole in the ping-pong ball, big enough for the pickup to go in. 2.Put just the "Head" or "Top" of the piezo pickup inside the ball while leaving the wires hang out. 3.Glue the piezo pickup upright.-(Inside Note) This prevents the pickup from moving around inside the ping-pong ball and making alot of noise. -(Note1) There sould be to wires on the pickup. One touching the center of the "Head" or "Top" and one touching the side of the "Head or Top". 4.Take the wire thats touching the side and solder it to the ground on the 1/4" jack. 5.Solder the 10K Ohm resistor to the center contact. Or in lamer terms the other side. 6.Now solder the center wire of the piezo pickup to the 10K Ohm resistor. 7.Using the knife put a small hole in the top of the ping-pong ball. 8.Hook the guitar cord into the jack and then into the amplifier. 9.Talk into the small hole and listen to your voice throught the amplifier! |

Lets try this again. Shall we? I've linked this to my website. http://www.freewebs.com/jeff_the_cicada/ The swf at the site is big, 1MGB so it takes a while to load. Thank God for pre-loaders eh? |
