I'm attempting to build a Remote Controlled robot and I can't find any kits or sets of pneumatic pistons and pumps. I attended a FIRST Robotics competion once and envied the system they were using. I was wondering if you would know of any good manufacturer of an easy to use pneumatic set? Also, I would like to use a set of treads as an alternative to wheels but cant find a supplier of treads or an easy way to make them. The actual RC system isnt really a problem since I can get them from cheap RC cars. Thanks for the help and I can't wait to see your railgun project!

How big is your robot going to be? If it is small and if cost isn't really a problem, you can use legos. For the pneumatics look for DACTA; treads can be found on several different robots.

Give me a circuit for a "light controlled buggy" and notes for that circuit, and what do you need to connect the circuit.

Since you were so nice and said "please", I did a quick Google search and
found:

a line following robot
another one
a very nice tiny one
and lots more

If you wanted an "infrared controlled robot" you can look
in here or you can do a Google search for that.

Simon:i don't quite understand how
infra-red works.I mean i saw this
video clip of a light following robot
i don't know if that's using ir, or other
kind of LED.

Simon what are examples of npn
transistors?Because i have plenty of unknown
transistors in my collection such as
those used in radios, or what are alternatives
that can be used?

I tried hacking into the circuit by making
line following robots with out chip i just place
four photocells in parallel and work fine, but
not good enough.

Syringes and plastic tubing would work great and is you could set it up so you have lines of syringes like a control board also Google is your friend (as stated by Simon) www.google.com

Just asking isnt going to help you any if you design it yourself you will learn about it more extensivly. Also, using syringes and tubing would be really easy. Fill one syringe up with water fit the tubing on the end so it is leak proof, then on the other end of the tube hook up an emty syringe fully depressed and seal that end. Push the full syringe and the emty will expand and push out then all you have to do is hook this up an arm and then it will work as you want. If you want to get more complex just add more "hydrolic pumps". You dont have to even use water air will do the same you just have to make shore that it is compleatly sealed.

hi, im doing a project about light following robot.. but instead of an using an ordinary flash light that the robot will follow, im thinking of controlling it using a laser... im looking for a circuit and some tips on how to do it, like what appropriate microcontroller to use, etc., i have a limited budget so im going to do a low-cost robot.. if someone can give me some information i would really appreciate it,thank you!
