I thought this would be a very cool thing to build something that floods the air with IR light so a remote control for a tv or VCR can't function. But I don't know where to start with something like this. |

a remote control jammer is a device that stops the remotes ir sender from the devices ir receiver. when tuned properly the device renders the remote inactive. i think the best website for this is http://www.techlib.com/electronics/gags.html here is a schematic if you dont know how to read a schematic email me. |

What is the purpose of the 1uF polorized capacitor across the 9VDC source? Is there a substitute for the 2N4403 transistor? Is the frequency altered by the 50k pot or the range? How would one use a 555 timer instead of the 2 transistors? |
