hi, I want to order something from your catalog for my science experiments but my father won't allow me to use his credit card number, so don't you have any kind of accound where I can write money on to pay for the stuff I want to order? |

We do all of our sales through the Internet. It is actually safer than sending a check in the mail, or using a telephone to give someone your credit card number. When you use a secure web site like our catalog, all of the data you enter is encrypted on your computer before it is ever sent out. Only this encrypted data is ever on the wires to the bank, so no one can read anything you send but the bank. There is no minimum wage employee typing in your credit card number, no carbon papers getting thrown in the trash, and no one overhearing a phone call. It is all private and secure. |

Hello there! This is such a great website for Science fairs particularly for students outside America. I live in the Philippines and I was almost losing hope on which Science fair project to build when I saw this site. I chose to build the three-penny radio. Will the radio work if I used only one photoresistor? How many photoresistors should buy for the radio to generate ample current? Um, if in case I buy at your online catalog and have it shipped in the Philippines will the price be higher than the original one (as written in your catalog)? In which method should I pay because we are avoiding paying by credit cards (like giving the account number to online shops) because there is a risk on losing the money on the account. |

You need to use a photovoltaic cell, not a photoresistor. A photoresistor does not generate electricity, it only changes its resistance when illuminated. Another name for a photovoltaic cell is a solar cell. The solar cells we offer in our catalog produce 0.45 volts. The radio needs a little over a volt, so we need three cells. We do all of our sales through the Internet. It is actually safer than sending a check in the mail, or using a telephone to give someone your credit card number. When you use a secure web site like "https://www.scitoyscatalog.com", all of the data you enter is encrypted on your computer before it is ever sent out. Hello! If in case I won't get a photovoltaic cell and decided to try the cuprous oxide sheet, how many sheets should I make to generate more than 1 volt? |

If I buy something from the catalog, how long the delivery will take if you are buying outside the United States? |

For those who missed it, this is what it says at the top of the catalog web page: We ship using Priority Mail. While delivery times are not guaranteed, we have been seeing packages arrive at North American destinations in 5 days or less, and worldwide in less than 10 days. |
